During the 90th Brussels Motor Show the Ferrari stand will feature the two latest models to be launched: the FF, a four-wheel drive four-seater with a 660 HP, mid-front-mounted V12, and the 458 Spider.

Alongside the two new models and the Ferrari California, the company’s versatile 2 2 with a folding hard top, will be a 458 Italia with a special finish to celebrate Ferrari’s 60 years in Belgium as well as the 458 Challenge, the onemake racing version of the 458 Italia.

458 Spider

Unveiled at the last Frankfurt Motorshow, the 458 Spider is a mid-rear-engined two-seater featuring a fully retractable aluminium hard-top, a world first for a sports car with this layout.

The 458 Spider’s innovative new hard-top is not only 25 kg lighter than a traditional folding soft-top, but is also quieter and thermally more efficient when raised. Aside from taking just 14 seconds to open or close, the hard-top was engineered to occupy a very small space when stored so that the designers were able to include a generous rear bench for luggage behind the two seats.

The rear windscreen doubles as an effective wind-stop which is electrically adjustable. When the hard-top is folded away the wind-stop opens to the height that guarantees the most efficient aerodynamics, reducing buffeting in the cockpit.

For the Brussels Motor Show, the 458 Spider is finished in yellow livery as a tribute to Belgium, a very important historical market for Ferrari.

Ferrari FF (Bruxelles 2012)

FF

The FF is the most powerful and versatile car Ferrari has ever built. It offers a completely new take on the sporting Grand Tourer theme. It is not only the first Ferrari with four-wheel drive, but, more significantly, a model that hails a major break with the past, effortlessly melding extreme sports car performance with the versatility and usability of a genuine GT and boasting an extremely innovative design.

Every single area of the FF brims with innovation, not least its engine, the first GDI V12 to be coupled with the seven-speed F1 dual-clutch gearbox. The V12 unleashes a massive 660 CV at 8,000 rpm, and maximum torque of 683 Nm at 6,000 rpm with 500 Nm already available at just 1,000 rpm.

This ensures the performance figures of an extreme sports car, with the 0-100 km/h sprint covered in 3.7 seconds and a top speed of 335 km/h.

Efficiency has been significantly boosted too, with fuel consumption now standing at just 15.4 litres per 100 km, and CO2 emissions at 360 g/km, a 25 per cent reduction compared to the previous V12s, thanks in part to the HELE (High Emotions-Low Emissions) System which incorporates Stop&Start technology.

California

The Ferrari California is an exceptionally innovative car whose philosophy takes its inspiration from the spirit and emotions of one of the great Ferraris of the past, the 1957 250 California, a superbly elegant open top car designed for the track, which has, over the years, come to symbolise not only superior sportiness and performance but also exclusivity, craftsmanship and faultless sophistication.

The 458 challenge is a mid-rear V8 berlinetta which is derived from the 458 Italia and is the fifth model used by Ferrari in its single-series racing programme.

The series features European, North American and Asia-Pacific championships.

With the 458 Challenge, Ferrari puts an exceptional combination of extreme performance, superb fun behind the wheel and unique driving emotions at the finger-tips of its sporting, professional and gentleman-driver clients.

The 458 Challenge is organised by Ferrari’s Corse Clienti department which also supports the activities of Prancing Horse owners who participate in international GT Championships, as well as managing the F1 Clienti department and the exclusive 599XX and FXX programmes.

Ferrari is also proud to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Ferrari Club Belgium.
